Aina Hazirah asked:

Many people suffer from ocular migraines pain or ophthalmic migraines. These Ocular Migraines are related to weakening of vision and mainly occurs because of the insufficient blood circulation in the brain. People who mostly work in front of computers and watch too much of television suffers from ocular migraine pain.

The natural solution and treatment for ocular migraines is basically the same as the recommendation for a classic migraine headache. Ocular migraines include adopting a low stress lifestyle, eliminating trigger foods and eating a good healthy migraine diet. This would include high quality fish oil supplements to reduce the inflammation and balance hormones.

There are some of the tips you can implement to reduce Ocular Migraines pain.

1) Take pain relievers to cool down our brain if you start to see blind spots and zigzag lines of light in front of your eyes.

2) Go inside the room to avoid exposure to the light at least you can shut down your eyes for few minutes.

3) Keep your body hydrated to keep blood circulation in the body and in the brain at the normal level by drink water at least 8-10 cups every day and other fluids like cold drinks and soda to keep your blood flow at the normal level.

4) The best possible way to prevent ocular migraines to happen is to keep you relaxed by performing yoga and meditation like activities regularly.

5) take prescription medicine named as “Cafergot”. This medicine basically contains caffeine which prevents ocular migraines pain by circulating the blood flow in a proper way.

Needless to say, the experience was scarier than the situation warranted. Many people who have ocular migraines are unfamiliar with the existence of such a disorder. Seeing blind spots in the middle of your vision can be terrifying, but if you are truly having an ocular migraine your vision will return to normal shortly.

Visit Ocular Migraines Website for more information about Ocular Migraines symptoms and Treatment.

Tamadol, Buy Tramadol

Millions of people find themselves regularly suffering from migraine headaches, which often have easily recognizable symptoms. Most regular sufferers can identify a migraine quickly after the onset of symptoms, which last anywhere from several hours to several days. Available treatment options should be attempted as soon as symptoms appear, in order to shorten the length of the headache. This will help prevent the headache from interfering with your work and home life. It could also deter any atypical migraine symptoms from occurring. As science and medicine progress, more and more treatment options are becoming available for regular sufferers of migraine headaches.

In most people who experience migraine headaches, they are a problem that reoccurs. For whatever reason, certain people are much more prone to attacks of migraines and will have the symptoms on multiple occasions. While there are common migraine symptoms, some sufferers also experience atypical migraine symptoms. People who have regular migraines can frequently identify symptoms that precede the headache itself. Some classic examples are pain around the eye area, nausea, or sensitivity to sound. There might be a throbbing pain in the forehead or near one temple.

Treatment Options for Atypical Migraine Symptoms

In the past, people who were suffering from regular migraine headaches had few options but to sleep or take over the counter pain medications. These severe headaches could last for 24 hours or more. They would interfere with a person’s responsibilities at work and home, leaving them unable to concentrate. However, medical research has begun to provide more solutions for these powerful headaches. There are also simple techniques that can be done without medication. For example, applying ice to the locations where pain is occurring will help reduce the inflammation. Steady breathing exercises and other relaxation techniques can be used effectively to reduce the intensity or even the number of attacks. Traditional Eastern practices such as acupuncture have solutions for migraines as well.

Many brands of pain medication now offer over the counter options that are specific to migraine headaches and the symptoms that accompany the pain. These pills can provide a fast solution to the infrequent migraine sufferer. However, for people who experience migraines on a regular basis or have atypical migraine symptoms, it is important to speak to a doctor about alternative solutions. There are prescription painkillers and anti-inflammatory medications available, as well as drugs that can help reduce the frequency of migraines. Your general care physician should have knowledge of these treatments or be able to refer you to a specialist.

Migraine sufferers should take their medications when they first notice symptoms of a migraine headache. By taking the medication early, it will have time to help your body avoid the most intense pain and nausea and allow you to return to your day quickly. These treatment options are great solutions for people who are frustrated by frequent migraine headaches. Take control of your life by calling your doctor today. He or she will help you find a solution to migraine headaches.

Butalbital

Migraine headaches are repeated or recurrent headaches, possibly caused by changes in the diameter of the blood vessels in the head. Migraine headaches are often classified in two main types — migraine with aura (formerly called classic migraine) and migraine without aura (formerly called common migraine). Most people with migraines do not have any warning before it occurs. However, in cases of “classic” migraine headache, a visual disturbance called an aura happens before the headache starts. Classic migraine is different from “common” migraines (which have no warning sign or aura) or “complicated” migraines (which occur with speech, movement, or other problems in the nervous system). Auras usually last less than an hour. The headache typically begins less than an hour after the aura ends. About two in 10 people who have migraines experience auras, which are sensory or motor disturbances that precede the actual headache. Most auras consist of visual disturbances, such as a blind spot or a flickering zigzag line or crescent in your field of vision. Another type of aura involves unusual sensations, such as numbness and tingling of the lips, lower face and fingers. A third type affects motor function, causing problems with movement or speech.

Migraine headaches are a common type of chronic headache. Migraine pain can be excruciating and may incapacitate you for hours or even days. Some people do experience a variety of vague symptoms before common migraines – mental fuzziness, mood changes, fatigue, and unusual retention of fluid. Migraines occur in women more than men, most often between the ages of 10 and 46 years. In some cases, they appear to run in families. Migraines without aura strike without the unmistakable warning sign of disturbed vision or sensation. Still, some people say more subtle symptoms, such as mood changes and loss of appetite, alert them to oncoming migraines. True migraine headaches are not a result of underlying brain tumors or other serious medical problems. The pain of a classic migraine headache is described as an intense throbbing or pounding felt in the forehead/temple, ear/jaw or around the eyes. Classic migraine starts on one side of the head, but may eventually spread to the other side. An attack may last one to two pain-racked days. Influences in a person’s life that tend to overload the nervous system are risks. Once identified in your life, you can counteract the negative effects of risks with the positive results of protective activities.

Migraine headaches constantly accommodates changes in hormones, emotions, and thoughts as well as the many chemicals in our food and beverages. Migraines are the most studied of all headaches, and there are various competing theories about what may actually cause them. Hormones seem to influence migraine development. Some women who take oral contraceptives or estrogen experience worsening headaches while others improve. Similarly, some women have an increasing headache pattern during pregnancy while others have diminished headache intensity. Other women develop migraines for the first time when they are pregnant. Headaches may increase in some women in the days before their menstrual period. Women who do not have migraines may develop migraines as a side effect to using Oral Contraceptive Pills (OCP). Many scientists now believe that migraines arise from problems within the central nervous system. These problems, which tend to run in families, affect the chemical messengers inside your brain — making you more sensitive to the types of triggers that can cause migraines. Many internal and external factors can trigger migraine such as ,Common foods — aged cheese, red wine, caffeine, chocolate, dairy products, pickled foods, lunchmeat, aspartame, MSG, peanuts, lima beans, bananas, raisins. Physical factors — fatigue, hormonal changes, missed meals, decreased sleep, oversleeping, stress

Guide to Headache Migraine Treatment Tips

1.Many medications can reduce the frequency of migraines such as ,Beta-blockers (e.g., propanolol) Anti-depressants (e.g., amitriptyline) Anti-convulsants (e.g., valproic acid) Calcium-channel blockers These medications are less useful and tolerable to patients with infrequent headaches.

2.Other medications are taken when there is the first sign of an impending migraine attack. In the case of classic migraine, Ergots (e.g., DHE-45) Serotonin agonists / triptans (e.g., sumatriptan) and Isometheptene.

3.Other medications are primarily given to treat the symptoms of migraine. Used alone or in combinations, these drugs can minimize pain, nausea, or emotional distress caused by the migraine.Anti-emetics (e.g., prochlorperazine) Sedatives (e.g., butalbital) Anti-inflammatories (e.g., ibuprofen) Acetaminophen Narcotic analgesics (e.g., meperidine)

4.Most patients with migraine can identify certain foods that are closely associated with their migraine headaches. To find out which foods are responsible, avoid all of the above-mentioned foods and then gradually work each food back into the diet.

5.Hormone therapy may help some women whose migraines seem to be linked to their menstrual cycle.

6.Stress management strategies, such as exercise, relaxation, biofeedback, and other therapies designed to help limit discomfort, may also reduce the occurrence and severity of migraine attacks.

Buy Tramadol

Who get migraine?

Physiologically, migraine headache is a neurological condition that is more commonly known to afflict women than men. Women experience migraines at least three times more often than men, probably because of hormonal changes. However, migraines can occur in children also, but they mostly appear in people in their twenties or thirties.

Studies have revealed that migraines could be inherited. For example, if one parent is afflicted with migraine, there is a 40% chance that the child will have migraine. If both parents have migraine, the probability increases to 75%.

Although, there is no specific migraine personality, most migraine sufferers have been found to be perfectionists, high-strung, conscientious, orderly, analytical and critical.

Symptoms and treatment of migraine

Symptoms of Migraine

Migraine pain generally differs from other types of headache; it has specific symptoms that may vary in intensity, character, frequency and duration. Migraine attacks can appear from a couple of times a year to almost every day. The two main types of migraine are:

Classical Migraine – migraine with aura Common Migraine – migraine without no warning or aura

A few migraine patients may experience an aura, which is normally treated as a sign of the pain to come. The aura consists of bright spots or zigzag lines and blurred vision or temporary visual loss. In rare cases numbness or tingling of the face and lips can also be observed. However, these symptoms generally disappear within an hour and are then replaced by a headache. In some cases the aura may not be followed by headaches.

Common migraine headache mostly begin without warning and are most commonly experienced by children. Common symptoms of this migraine are associated with:

Intense head pain (the pain begins on one side of the head and spreads downward to the eye, face and even neck; the pain can also switch sides or affect both sides at once) Relentless throbbing or pounding deep in the head Nausea Vomiting Strong and painful reactions to light and loud noises Activity associated pain (the simple act of moving may be difficult during the migraine attack) Not being able to carry out day to day activities. The need to lie down during attacks

People may sometimes experience all or some of the symptoms which are either moderate or severe. Migraine attacks may last from anywhere up to four hours to three days. This affliction has the potential to severely disrupt your work and family life as well as your social activities.

Migraine trigger

Migraine, it is believed, is triggered by changes in the neurotransmitters and blood vessels in the brain. However, certain factors have been identified that can trigger attacks in susceptible people. They are:

Stress (or sometimes the relief of stress) Lack of food or infrequent meals Certain foods products containing monosodium glutamate, caffeine, tyramine or alcohol Overtiredness (both physical and mental) Changing sleep patterns (e.g. weekend lie ins, sleeplessness or shift work) Hormonal factors (e.g. monthly periods, contraceptive pill, HRT or menopause) Extreme emotions (e.g. anger, grief etc.) Physical activity Environmental factors (e.g. loud noise, bright or flickering lights, strong perfumes, hot stuffy atmosphere, VDUs etc.) Climatic conditions (e.g. strong winds, extreme heat or cold)

For most people, afflicted with migraines, it is usually not any one trigger but a combination of factors which collectively work against a person’s threshold and an attack is triggered.

Cefaly medical device for migraine

Cefaly is a medical device that relieves pain in people suffering from migraines and cluster/tension headaches as well as trigeminal neuralgia and frontal sinusitis. It has a full EEC medical certification. A patented system, it bears the ISO and CE medical mark.

The unit consists of a band that is worn around the front of the head and it then sends electrical impulses through an electrode patch placed in between the eyebrows. This device works on the trigeminal nerves at the front of the face. It works at three programme levels. They are:

Programme 1 – Is a treatment programme, based on TENS technology. It works on blocking the flow of pain at the entrance of the spinal cord. Programme 2 – Is the preventive or endorphinic programme. It increases the endorphins (natural painkillers) in the central nervous system. Programme 3 – Is the anti-stress and relaxation programme.

Numerous tests and clinical studies have been conducted that prove that Cefaly is effective, with almost 85% of its users being extremely satisfied with the results.

migraine

Migraine is a severe disorder that affects and interrupts the lives of millions of people. Figures show that twenty five percent of migraine sufferers experience more than four attacks a month and it has consequences for employers, family and friends as well as the sufferer.

One of the best self help measures for sufferers is migraine prevention via education, as it can help you self-diagnose and provide your physician with an intelligent approach to assist him with diagnosis so you get the right migraines treatment. The main drawback is that although there are thousands and thousands of Internet websites for headache, they are erratic and inconsistent. However joining organizations like the American Council for Headache Education and local organizations can play an excellent part in educating yourself about migraine.

Many self help books containing migraine headache info could be described in the same manner, but my advice is to look for those sponsored by the American Academy of Neurology or other such reliable bodies.

Getting a correct diagnosis is the first step to managing migrain, and I have always found it useful to keep a headache diary or calendar to record the severity of my migraine headache pain, and my response to migraine drugs treatment. This includes information such as dosage, time taken and also any non-drug therapies, what you ate at mealtimes, exercise and sleep habits. Honestly recording what you actually do and when you did it will help you doctor treat your more effectually, give you the correct medication for migraines and will help you to identify triggers.

I’m not saying that you should become obsessive and give your headache calendar more attention than necessary but keeping one for a few months before the first visit to a migraine specialist can provide him or her with a great deal of information, and it may be worthwhile maintaining this afterwards. For example I have discovered that sitting at my computer worsened my condition, but when I changed chairs it lessened the stress on my neck and helped me somewhat.

Stopping smoking and starting regular aerobic exercise are valid self-help measures for migraine. Movement encourages the brain to produce more endorphins, which are natural pain fighting hormones, and exercise reduces muscle tension, anxiety, increases energy levels, refreshes and helps you focus. However some migraine sufferers find that this can aggravate and worsen their condition, under these circumstances walking can be beneficial. Remember when you are exercising it is important to drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.

Helping yourself and cooperating with you physician can also lead to the exploration of natural remedies for migraines, as these are becoming more popular with many being backed by research. Remedies for migraine headaches, which are likely to be offered include relaxation techniques such as hypnosis, biofeedback, progressive relaxation, meditation, guided imagery and breathing exercises.

Other alterative treatment for migraines include:

Acupuncture for migraines

Chiropractic care

Massage

Herbal supplement

Physical therapy

Vitamin (B2) and mineral supplements

Magnesium supplementation

Feverfew

Butterbur

Co-Enzyme Q10

Acupressure

Essential Fatty Acids supplementation

Hydrotherapy

Yoga

Stress does not initially cause migraine headaches but does seem to trigger them if you are a migrane sufferer. Consequently, as stress is closely linked to a migraine headache and because the severity of the condition can disrupt family life causing depression, then you may also be offered behavioral therapies such as psychotherapy and stress management training.

This is by no means a comprehensive manual on migraine prevention but it will hopefully be enough to get you started.

Health and Personal Care Disclaimer

The content in this email is for reference purposes and is not intended to substitute for advice given by a physician, pharmacist or other health care professional. And where his migraines previously lasted 12-24 hours now they tend to only last between 4-6. Now with the release of his nutritional supplement Migraine Complex he is helping other migraineurs find drug free solutions.

Migraine is a neurological disease that can cause a wide range of symptoms during an attack. The most commonly thought of symptom is headache. A migraine can be disabling — with symptoms so severe, all you can think about is finding a dark, quiet place to lie down. People who get migraines often describe the pain as pulsing or throbbing in one area of the head. During migraines, people are very sensitive to light and sound. They may also become nauseated and vomit. Attacks are often recurrent and tend to become less severe as the migraine sufferer ages.

There is a migraine “pain center” or generator in the brain. A migraine begins when hyperactive nerve cells send out impulses to the blood vessels, causing them to clamp down or constrict, followed by dilation (expanding) and the release of prostaglandins, serotonin, and other inflammatory substances that cause the pulsation to be painful. Although much about headaches still isn’t understood, some researchers think migraines may be caused by functional changes in the trigeminal nerve system, a major pain pathway in your nervous system, and by imbalances in brain chemicals, including serotonin, which plays a regulatory role for pain messages going through this pathway.

Migraine Triggers

Emotional stress. This is one of the most common triggers of migraine headache.

Sensitivity to specific chemicals and preservatives in foods. Certain foods and beverages, such as aged cheese, alcoholic beverages, and food additives such as nitrates (in pepperoni, hot dogs, luncheon meats) and monosodium glutamate (MSG, commonly found in Chinese food) may be responsible for triggering up to 30% of migraines.

Allergic reactions

Bright lights, loud noises, and certain odors or perfumes

Physical or emotional stress

Changes in sleep patterns

Smoking or exposure to smoke

Skipping meals

Lack of Water or dehydration

Alcohol or caffeine

Difference between Headache and Migraine

Migraine is disease, a headache is only a symptom. Migraine pain is caused by vasodilation in the cranial blood vessels, while headache pain is caused by vasoconstriction. During a migraine, inflammation of the tissue surrounding the brain, i.e., neurogenic inflammation, exacerbates the pain. Therefore, medicine often prescribed to treat a headache, such as beta-blockers, dilate the blood vessels and therefore can make a Migraine worse.

Unlike a headache, the Migraine disease has many symptoms, including nausea, vomiting, auras (light spots), sensitivity to light and sound, numbness, difficulty in speech, and severe semihemispherical head pain. One Migraine attack alone can last for eight hours, several days, or even weeks.

Migraine is a true organic neurological disease. A Migraine is caused when a physiological (not psychological) trigger or triggers cause vasodilatation in the cranial blood vessels, which triggers nerve endings to release chemical substances called neurotransmitters, of which the neurotransmitter serotonin is an important factor in the development of Migraine.

Migraine can induce a host of serious physical conditions: strokes, aneurysms, permanent visual loss, severe dental problems, coma and even death.

Fioricet
